This project is called visitor management system. It is an automated platform for a specific institution to record and manage daily visitor records. This system is mainly developed using PHP language and SQLite3 database. It has a nice user interface using Bootstrap v5 Framework. It includes several easy-to-use features and functions.

How does the visitor management system work?

Visitor Management System is a simple web application whose main purpose is to keep visitor records. Using this system, the management of the company or institution can easily store, retrieve and manage the records of daily visitors. The system stores visitor records and tracks the date and time of visitor arrivals and departures.

Additionally, this PHP project or web application system helps the specific administration to generate accurate and printable visitor record reports. This system is accessible only to administrative users with registered accounts. This program has 2 different user roles, which are managers and employees. Administrator users have the privilege to access and manage all system features and capabilities while staff users have only limited permissions.

• Download and install any local web server like XAMPP/WAMP.
• Download the provided source zip code file. (The download button is below)

Installation / commissioning

1. Open your XAMPP/WAMP file php.ini and comment sqlite3 extension. Then, save the file.
2. Open your XAMPP/WAMP control panel and start Apache.
3. Extract the zip file of the downloaded source code.
4. If you are using XAMPP, copy the extracted source code folder and place it in XAMPP's "htdocs" directory. And if you are using WAMP, put it in the "www" directory.
5. Browse the visitor management system in a browser. That is http://localhost/php-sqlite-vms/.
