This project is called online discussion forum site. This is a web based application project developed in PHP and MySQL database. The main goal of this simple project is to provide an online platform for an organization where they can discuss any issue related to the site or organization. This site allows users to post any topic under a specific topic category. Users can post their comments on any published topic. The user interface of the system is developed with Bootstrap Framework and AdminLTE Framework. It also consists of user-friendly features and capabilities.

This online discussion forum site is accessible to everyone and the site administrator. As I mentioned at the beginning of this article, this project allows users to post or publish specific topics. Every topic posted is visible to the public and registered users. This system requires users to register and login with their user information to access the posted topics and comments. This project also contains a site administration panel, where site administration can manage all system data. This side of the project requires an administrator user credential to access features and functionality. In this site, the administration can rewrite and delete user posts and comments. Admin users can also create a new topic on this site. Admin users are the ones responsible for filling the list of topic categories. They can also update the system name, logo, etc.

requirements

• Download and install any local web server like XAMPP.
• Download the provided source zip code file. (The download button is below)

System installation

1. Activate the GD library in your php.ini file.
2. Open your XAMPP control panel and start Apache and MySQL.
3. Extract the zip file of the downloaded source code.
4. Copy the extracted source code folder and place it in XAMPP's "htdocs" directory.
5. Browse PHPMyAdmin in a browser. That is http://localhost/phpmyadmin
