It is a PHP and MySQL database management system. It is a web-based application that provides an online and automated platform for stores or businesses. This project can manage purchase orders, receipts, return orders, returns and sales records of the company. This application has a pleasant user interface with the help of Bootstrap library and AdminLTE template. It also has user-friendly functions.

I developed this project using the following:

• XAMPP v3.3.0 as my local web server running PHP version 8.0.7
• PHP language
• MySQL database
• HTML
• CSS
• Java Script
• JQuery
• Ajax
• Bootstrap
• AdminLTE
• And several other plugins / libraries.

This management system can only be accessed by 2 types of users who are administrators and system employees. An admin user can access and manage all the pages, forms and features that the web application does, while staff users only have limited access.

Stock records such as purchase orders, receipts, etc. in this project have print features for each record. Talking about the flow of this project, first the admin users should fill all the important lists which are supplier list and item list. Next, users create a purchase order record for a supplier. After that, users can receive items on each purchase order, which means that a PO record is required to add inventory. Then, when receiving items when the supplier only delivers some of the items or is not complete, the system automatically creates a new order return record for the items that have not yet been delivered. BO records work like purchase order records. Next, when the received items have problems, problems or otherwise, the management can create a return record, and after saving this file, the system will also automatically deduct the damaged items to the warehouse inventory. Finally, the sales record is the company's record for stock purchased by customers or their customers. Any shares listed in the sales record will also be deducted from the inventory balance.

requirements

• Download and install any local web server like XAMPP/WAMP.
• Download the provided source zip code file. (The download button is below)

Installation / commissioning

• Open your XAMPP/WAMP control panel and start Apache and MySQL.
• Extract the zip file of the downloaded source code.
• If you are using XAMPP, copy the extracted source code folder and place it in XAMPP's "htdocs" directory. And if you are using WAMP, put it in the "www" directory.
• Browse PHPMyAdmin in a browser. That is http://localhost/phpmyadmin
• Create a new database named sms_db.
• Enter the provided SQL file. This file is known as sms_db.sql, which is located inside the database folder.
• Browse the stock management system in a browser. It means http://localhost/sms/.

Default admin access information

• Username: admin
• Password: admin123
