• Ajax based so it's fast, but doesn't break the back button
• If the folder is writable by the web server, drag and drop the upload file (chmod 777 your/folder)
• It fits my aesthetic more like Dropbox and less like Windows Explorer
• Works with Unicode filenames
• The interface can be used from the iPad
• XSRF protection and an optional password.

Teaching how to work

Do not make the folder writable by chmod 775 web server
Set $allow_upload = false
Use password $PASSWORD = 'some password'
Use an htaccess file with Apache or auth_basic for nginx
Only use this on a private network
