This is a PHP project called online train reservation system. It is a web-based application that provides an online platform for railway or train station passengers or prospective passengers to check their schedules and book seats. This application does not support any payment API and is created for educational purposes only to give IT/CS students and self-taught programmers an idea of ​​how to develop a web application like this. This application has a pleasant user interface using Bootstrap Framework and AdminLTE Framework. It is easy to use or user friendly.

About Railway Online Reservation System, I developed this project using the following:

• XAMPP v3.3.0 as my local web server running PHP version 8.0.7

• And several other plugins / libraries.

Simple railway online reservation system has 2 modules which are management side and general part. The management module is a part of the system where management can manage system information, schedules and reservations. On this side, the admin user can also update the content pages that are displayed on the website, such as "About" and "Contact" informational content. The public module acts as a website that visitors or potential travelers can access. Visitors can read station information, list schedules, and reserve seats on the schedule of their choice. Passengers can submit multiple seat reservations at the same time.

• Download and install any local web server like XAMPP/WAMP.
• Download the provided source zip code file. (The download button is below)

Installation / commissioning

1. Open your XAMPP/WAMP control panel and start Apache and MySQL.
2. Extract the zip file of the downloaded source code.
3. If you are using XAMPP, copy the extracted source code folder and place it in XAMPP's "htdocs" directory. And if you are using WAMP, put it in the "www" directory.
4. Browse PHPMyAdmin in a browser. That is http://localhost/phpmyadmin

6. Enter the provided SQL file. This file is known as orrs_db.sql, which is located inside the database folder.
7. Browse through the online railway reservation system in a browser. ie http://localhost/orrs/
