This project is called online grocery ordering system. It is a web-based application that provides an online platform for store/grocery customers or potential customers to order their desired product. The main goal of this simple project is to allow customers to buy their groceries without visiting a shop or store. This system lists all the products with available stock and the customer can save the desired product in his shopping cart and make the payment after finishing it. The system is easy to use and has a simple user interface.

About the simple online food ordering system project

This web application includes 2 modules which are management and customer modules. The management module is the side of the system where grocery management can manage all products, stocks and orders of their customers. The customer module is the section where customers/visitors can browse, explore, add to cart and order the products they want. When the customer checks out, the system adds the delivery fee to the customers total amount due on delivery. This system also produces a simple and printable sales report.

Implementation method, requirements

• Download and install any local web server like XAMPP/WAMP.
• Download the provided source zip code file. (The download button is below)

Installation / commissioning

• Open your XAMPP/WAMP file php.ini and delete sqlite3 and gd extension. Then, save the file.
• Open your XAMPP/WAMP control panel and start Apache.
• Extract the zip file of the downloaded source code.
• If you are using XAMPP, copy the extracted source code folder and place it in XAMPP's "htdocs" directory. And if you are using WAMP, put it in the "www" directory.
• Browse the simple online grocery ordering system in the browser. ie http://localhost/grocery_ordering/ for client side and http://localhost/grocery_ordering/admin for admin side.
