This is a PHP project called QR code event registration system. This project manages attendance/registration records of participants or guests/audiences of an event. This system uses a QR code (quick response code) to check attendance of participants. This system is a web-based software.

This project is developed using PHP, MySQL database, HTML, CSS, JavaScript (Ajax and jQuery), Bootstrap and AdminLTE template and other plugins and libraries. I used PHP version 8.0.7 and XAMPP version 3.3.0 in system development. I have created this project to help other programmers especially new PHP programmers and IT/CS students.

This system has 2 types of users, which are Admin and Registrar. Admin manages all data stores in the system such as user lists, events, audiences, etc. The admin user can also create a printable report for each event. The registration office is responsible for scanning and storing the audience or participants of the event. This user can only see the list of events assigned to him. This project has a pleasant user interface and user-friendly functions.

How to run

requirements

• Download and install any local web server like XAMPP/WAMP.
• Download the provided source zip code file. (The download button is below)

Installation / commissioning

1. Open your XAMPP/WAMP control panel and start Apache and MySQL.
2. Extract the zip file of the downloaded source code.
3. If you are using XAMPP, copy the extracted source code folder and place it in XAMPP's "htdocs" directory. And if you are using WAMP, put it in the "www" directory.
4. Browse PHPMyAdmin in a browser. That is, http://localhost/phpmyadmin
5. Create a new database named event_db .
6. Enter the provided SQL file. This file is located inside the database folder. event_db.sql
7. Browse the event registration system with the QR code in a browser. That is http://localhost/event.

• Password: admin123
