This project is called lost and found information system. It is a web-based application that provides an online platform for people to post lost and found items. This project is mainly developed using PHP and MySQL database. It has a nice user interface using Bootstrap v5 Framework and NiceAdmin Template. It includes several user-friendly features and functions.

سیستم اطلاعات گم شده و پیدا شده چگونه کار می کند؟

This lost and found information system is a simple web application project that consists of 2 modules, which are public and administrative sites.

The administration site is accessible only to the organization or system administration. This site requires users to log in with their valid system credentials to access features and functionality. It has 2 types of user roles, which are managers and employees. Administrators have the privilege to access and manage all system data/information such as system user list, categories, items and system information while employees have only limited permission. The system also allows the admin to dynamically update some of the site's public page content using the admin site's front-end.

On the public site, visitors are allowed to explore published and unsolicited items found and posted to this site. They can also check the content of different pages of the site and send a message for some questions or any concerns. In the list of posted items, visitors can filter the item to view by category.

requirements

• Download and install any local web server like XAMPP.
• Download the provided source zip code file. (The download button is below)

System installation

1. Activate the GD library in your php.ini file.
2. Open your XAMPP control panel and start Apache and MySQL.
3. Extract the zip file of the downloaded source code.
4. Copy the extracted source code folder and place it in XAMPP's "htdocs" directory.
5. Browse PHPMyAdmin in a browser. That is http://localhost/phpmyadmin
6. یک پایگاه داده جدید به نام lfis_db ایجاد کنید .
7. فایل SQL ارائه شده را وارد کنید . این فایل با نام lfis_db.sql شناخته می شود که در داخل پوشه پایگاه داده قرار دارد .
8. سیستم اطلاعات گم شده و پیدا شده را در مرورگر مرور کنید . یعنی http://localhost/php-lfis/ .
